Premium Edition Under Development
WhosOff has entered a new major development chapter. From early January 2008 developers of WhosOff will be embarking on a new major release that will incorporate SOAP API technology as its base and will also see WhosOff located on a new hosting platform. The hosting of WhosOff will see loads balanced across its newly commissioned servers and will provide a faster and more robust service to WhosOff premium users.

Public API - to be released
Over the forthcoming months, as part of the major redevelopment of WhosOff, we will be working on an API that may be released to users across the WhosOff spectrum.
Use of the API will allow developers to build their own applications to integrate with their WhosOff data files, as well as providing a structure for WhosOff to become available across a number of media platforms, including mobiles.

"Switching over to who’soff has been a fantastic benefit to our company. Staff can now view their own holiday entitlement online saving their manager time. The system also helps Managers to easily view their monthly and annual holiday and sickness numbers which encourages them to become more involved in performance management. What’s more we have finally moved away from a paper based system so we are helping the environment at the same time. I just wish we had done it earlier!"

"As we continue to grow as an interiors refurbishment and fitout company, it was becoming harder and harder to keep track of our staff holidays and allowances, especially when most of our staff is construction site based. I desperately needed to step away from our Excel Database and the paper nightmare that comes with holiday forms and sick leave. Fortunately, I had found whosoff.co.uk and couldn’t be happier. I’ve been using it now for less than 24 hours and I can already see how much easier this will make my office life! We will be holding an internal office meeting soon with all of our staff and showing them how easy it is to record their time. I couldn’t be happier."

Effectively managing human resources is one area where many agencies struggle. As a case in point, it can be a hassle to keep track of employee vacation and sick time. In small agencies, the agency owner typically tracks vacation and sick time — but most of the time, not very well.
WhosOff.com is a free Web site that helps organizations of any size manage and track vacation schedules, holiday planning, and sick time. The program is completely browser-based. Once you establish an account, you and your staff can request holiday/vacation time. The request goes to whomever you designate to approve or decline requests. Then, staff is notified of the decision. If you have remote offices, you could assign one individual to review all requests for time off. You could also designate a department manager or supervisor.
